Louisa Wall II

W.A.L.T: Create a slide or document with the following questions with answers

With Louisa Wall as my role model, it was really fum making this post.
My journey with finding some of Louisa's information has been pretty fascinating, Louisa and her family have been through so much.

Winning the Women's rugby union World Cup in the 1998 Amsterdam gold medal, and the 1991 Netball World Tournaments Silver.

From Louisa, I have learnt to have more confidence in some of my life choices, and doing the things I love more after finishing my research on her.

Please comment down below if you think I've either done really well, or terribly and need to improve.

To me Louisa Wall is a sign of determination, and confidence. She has gone through an amazing journey showing kindness, determination, confidence and seeking excellence. She is a real role model to me. I wish to have the attributes she held and still has.

This post has been really fun creating.

Please comment down below if you think I've done well, or if i can do better.

St Joan of Arc

W.A.L.T: Find information for the following questions and present in a sensible way.

Write their choices after completing the slide.

St Joan led the French army in a momentous victory at Orléans which lead to  the attempt to conquer France during the Hundred Years' War.

She had opinions for contrary to orthodox religious doctrine which lead to burning at a stake

She was a peasant girl who became the Saviour of France

Joan promised Charles she would see him crowned king at Reims, she crowned Charles VII as the French king after She drove the English out of France with the French army.

This task was about the same as my St Rose of Lima one. But the only catch was that I did find different information. Please comment down below if you think I did well, or if you think I could've done better or if you have any tips for me. ^u^

Saint Rose of Lima

W.A.L.T: Find information for the following questions and present in a sensible way.

This post is on St Rose of Lima. If you didn't know who she is, this post hopefully gives you enough info. It wasn't easy to find all the information. But I think I have a pretty good result, hopefully the reader thinks so too. Please comment down below if you think I did well, or if you think I can improve.

8 Bible Choices and Consequences on Jesus

For this Post, I did a lot of research on the choices and consequences that Jesus did. I learnt that not all the consequences were bad or that I did not have to do all the negative results. Please comment down below if you think I could've done better or comment to show that you thought it was good! Thank you for checking out this blog post.

Antonym, Homophone, Homograph

This post was on the subject of Literacy, with Antonyms, Homophones, and Homographs.

Hopefully this post has given the reader(s) enough information. This hasn't been very hard, so I'm hoping it's good enough.
Have you used any of these before?
Please comment down below if you think I could've done better or if I've done well.

Save The Orangutan's Please

W.A.L.T: Create an Info graphic to show the positive impacts on orangutan's humans have.

This post took a lot of resets in the writing industry, but I am happy with my final result and I hope that the reader(s) are too. There should be enough information, but if there isn't please comment down below and say.
Would you decide to join a charity to save the humans closest cousins?
Please comment down below if you think I could've done better in this post.

Beatitudes

W.A.L.T: Create a slide showing the 8 Beatitudes and famous people showing them.

This slide wasn't that easy to create and research the people, and yet it wasn't that hard either. Hopefully there has been enough information on this post.
Do you know anyone that had shown one or more of the 8 Beatitudes before this you read this post?
Please comment if you think I could've done better, or if I've done well.

Multiplying One Or More Decimals

W.A.L.T Create a Digital Learning Objective explaining how to multiply one or more decimal point.

This task was not easy explaining the strategy under the examples. Hopefully this is some good Information, not confusing, and will help you learn how to do this if you do not.

Has this helped you with anything related to decimals?

Please comment down below if you think I can do better or if it's great.

Suffix

W.A.L.T: Create a DLO that explains what a suffix is, give what each prefix means and an example of it.

(Note to teachers: The suffix er was put in twice.)

I thought this was pretty easy, and I'm happy with this DLO. Hopefully there is enough information on this post. Please leave comment(s) if I could have done better.

Children's War

W.A.L.T: Create a blog post that gives a summary of what you have read The Children's War

BEFORE YOU READ INFORMATION. CREATOR HAS A NOTE:

Today (Wednesday the 7th, September 2021) I have written some Information about what I have read on the Children's War. Information like: New Zealand went into the war on the 4th of August 1914 until 11th November 1918, supporting the British Empire  4 years 4 months and 7 days NZ spent in war.

New Zealand decided to send soldiers to fight in the war for a number of reasons, including New Zealand's strong ties to Britain and its concern with keeping trade routes open so it could continue to export to Britain. Within a month New Zealand troops had occupied Western Samoa, which was a German territory. These were the reasons why New Zealand was in war, can you Imagine being one of these people?

I learnt that New Zealand children were supposed to support the British Empire, shouldn't they have been supporting their own countries soldiers? The children had to support the British Soldiers with a song to show unity, pride and support in the war. And after that a teacher would give a patriotic lecture, and many other's to show support. It was not a bad thing that they were fighting with the British Empire against Hitler, but shouldn't they have been supporting their own soldiers as well?

There was a question on the Trenches, In 1914-1918 the trenches were known as 'No man's land' when NZ was against the Germans. If you were in the Trenches fighting, you could get shot by your own people and shot by the enemy, because there would be bodies lying everywhere if you tried to take one or more of your comrades to the medic, there would be shooting from both sides.

I don't know what else to write in this Post so I'm going to stop the Info there.

You may notice (teachers if they are reading this post) that there is no screen shot, that is because it wouldn't upload.

I've had to answer these questions:

     1. Why was NZ at war?

New Zealand decided to send soldiers to fight in the war for a number of reasons, including New Zealand's strong ties to Britain and its concern with keeping trade routes open so it could continue to export to Britain. Within a month New Zealand troops had occupied Western Samoa, which was a German territory.

     2. How did New Zealander's at home follow the progress of

                     the war?

Families had received letters from the soldiers themselves, but were checked by the government before receiving them in person. Grandfathers, Uncles, Fathers and Brothers were taken to war and about 1 in 5 would never come back. The government check the list of casualties, and posted them everyday and talked about letters that could come at anytime.

3. How were children encouraged to 'love England'?

They would have a flag raising ceremony and children would sing a song to show unity, pride and support in the war. And teacher would give a patriotic lecture.

4. Why was 'No man's land' such a dangerous place?

You could get shot by your own people and shot by the enemy (Germans). Because the ‘no man’s land’ was the trenches. Where there was shooting from both sides.

5. In WW1 how many New Zealand soldiers were injured and

how many died?

16,000 died and 41,000 were wounded.

If I was a child in that era, I would be scared, that some of my family might not come back. Quite sick of supporting just the British Empire. Very sick of the Political talks. And I would be wondering when this war is over.

Who is Abraham and Sarah?

W.A.L.T: Research information on who Abraham and Sarah is.

Dear Reader(s) the Religious Education task today in Lockdown learning is to find out who Abraham and Sarah is. I didn't know if we had to make a DLO so I wrote down some information. Hopefully there is enough.

According to the biblical account, Abram which means 'The Father or God Is Exalted', who is later named Abraham which means 'The Father of Many Nations', is a native of Ur in Mesopotamia. God spoke to Abraham, He told him to leave his own country and people and journey to an unspecific land, where he will become the founder of a new nation. Abraham is given a position of respect in three large world faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. (Fact: In Judaism, he is the founding father of the covenant, the special relationship between the Jewish people and God leading to the belief that the Jews are the chosen people of God.)

Sarah, who was firstly known as Sarai, in the Old Testament, was the wife of Abraham and mother of Isaac. Sarah was childless until she was 90 years old. God promised Abraham that she would be “a mother of nations” And that she would give brith to a son, but Sarah did not believe.

After Abrahams 100th Birthday, Sarah became pregnant with their son Isaac. And God said that Abraham and Sarah would have as many children as there are stars in the sky. So once Isaac had children they had children, then so on and so forth. Then along that line of children, their family tree was gifted with Jesus (God promised that Abraham would have the Saviour of the World in their family).

Abraham dies at the age of 175 and is buried next to Sarah in the cave of Machpelah. Sarah, having secured Isaac's position in the family. She plays no role in the near sacrifice of Isaac. She dies at the age of 127 in Hebron. Abraham buys his first real property in the land of Israel, the Cave of Machpelah, in order to bury her.

Hopefully there was enough Information in this Blog Post. Please leave comment(s) if I have done well or not well enough.

Writing

W.A.L.T:
Create a DLO that explains what a prefix is, give what each prefix means and an example of it.

This Google Drawing took a while but I'm happy with the result. Hopefully I will give enough info on what Prefixes are.

It wasn't easy but it wasn't hard.

R.E

W.A.L.T: Use your bible hunting skills to read each bible verse and in your own words write down what happened.
To write down my own words I had to use a dictionary to search up what some words meant. I wasn't easy and it wasn't hard.
(On the last paragraph there was lots of writing on the site so I wrote it in my own words to less the words down but there were still a lot of words so I had to shrink the writing down hopefully the words are still readable.)

2 Currency experiments

W.A.L.T: Create a DLO based on 2 currency and compare to NZ's dollar with the following

Note; Hello reader(s) you may notice that there is no picture in this post because it didn't upload, I also didn't really know what exchange rate meant so I don't know if I did a good enough explaining so I put down my information the best I could. I created this DLO on 2 currency's (Scotland and Canada) and compare the exchange rate with the New Zealand dollar. I guess the title wasn't that good because I didn't really do any experimenting I just  wrote if we gain more or lose some with our dollar and you don't get any more with the currency's I chose because the New Zealand Dollar is only worth 89¢ in Canada, and 51¢ in Scotland. The Canadian dollar is only used in Canada and the Pound Sterling (what the Scottish dollar is known as in Scotland) is used in Scotland, United Kingdom, England, Jersey, Gibraltar, Isle of man and Northern Ireland.

Here are some photo sites from Canada and Scotland:

Events of Jesus' Life

W.A.L.T: Understand the life story of Jesus

On Wednesday 1st September I my class for lock down learning we had to finish this table about some of the events in Jesus' life. It was an interesting task that wasn't easy but it wasn't hard either. I think I could've done better because I don't know where or when exactly to place them but I'm happy with what I've done. There will be people that did better than me, but I am happy with my work for now. :)
